Requesting Information on University of Richmond's GDPR Privacy Policy
The University of Richmond General Data Protection Regulation Privacy Policy applies to individuals located in the European Union (EU) who submit personal information and/or use the University’s websites and other services. To request information regarding this policy or to exercise one of the designated rights enumerated in the Policy, please complete the form below. It is important to note that the Policy does not apply to processing of personal data prior to May 25, 2018.
Requests may be made regarding the following:
- General questions about the GDPR and it applicability to the University of Richmond
- A copy of any personal data that the University holds
- Information about any processing of personal data that is being carried out
- Any rights to rectification, erasure, portability, or restriction of processing that may exist
The University will respond, without charge, within one month of the request. If the University receives a large number of requests or if a request is particularly complex, the response time may be extended. Where requests are manifestly unfounded or excessive, the University may charge a fee or refuse to act on the request.

Third parties may not exercise another’s rights under this Policy without proper authorization. The University will use reasonable efforts to verify the identity of the requestor and may request additional information necessary to confirm the requestor’s identity.
The nature of data that the University collects is subject to United States and Commonwealth of Virginia legal and regulatory requirements. These requirements may impact an individual’s rights under the Policy.
